A. Twice a year we adjust our clocks by one hour to accommodate for Daylight Savings Time in the Sping and reverting back to Standard Time in the Fall. Here are the recommendations for changing the time on your clocks:
- Spring Forward – move the minute hand clockwise (to the right) one hour, stopping at the half hour to let the clock strike or chime and then proceeding for the remainder of the hour. By advancing the minute hand for the 60 minutes, the hour hand will automatically advance.
- Fall Back – simply reach in, stop the pendulum from moving. Start the clock by swinging the pendulum an hour later.
